The Bobby G. Bizzell Innovative Achievement Award recognizes business programs that have demonstrated innovative excellence. Submissions may relate to any aspect of business programs, such as curriculum design, teaching, program development, outreach, or administration.
The winner of the 2026 Bizzell Award, which was presented on June 15 in San Antonio, was the Katz School of Business at Fort Lewis College for their program, "Business School AI Integration: Keeping Up with Emerging Technologies."
Applications for the 2027 award will be requested soon.
The Southwestern Business Deans' Association (SWBDA) began as a group of deans from business schools in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas, and was established for the purpose of promoting and improving collegiate business education generally located in the southwestern region of the United States and Mexico. We now have members from several other states as well.
